21-year old Erin Jane is a singer/songwriter from Brisbane who plays piano and acoustic guitar. She is also a member of the all-girl pop/rap band, Sneeky Picnic, who, in their 2-years of being together have played twice at Big Day Out.

Erin Jane’s solo music is inspired by strong female artists such as Sara Bareilles, Carole King, Missy Higgins and Katy Perry, whilst the adrenaline junkies Sneeky Picnic reflect artists such as Gym Class Heroes, Iggy Izalea and Ariana Grande.

Erin recently graduated from a Bachelor of Popular Music at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and has since performed at venues including Brisbane’s Hideaway, The Regatta Hotel and QPAC as well as house concerts, supporting artists such as Emma Dean and Francesca de Valence and at festivals including The Bleach festival, The Red Deer Music and Arts Festival and more. Erin Jane’s music encapsulates an emotional, warm and heartfelt feel, with a fun and cheeky rhythm.1399314_255113251327004_8615025879695214462_o

What are your top tips for someone visiting Brisbane?

My number one to do and special tip if you’re visiting Brisbane would be to take a trip around 6pm to Mt Cootha. Whether it’s a romantic occasion or just by yourself, the magical views will blow you away and show off how beautiful Brisbane is and how it lights up like thousands of little jewels in the night.

What’s your favourite music festival?

The Red Deer Music And Arts Festival would have to be my favourite. It is like no other, held out in Mt Samson on an old Deer Farm. The atmosphere and vibes of this unique festival really captures all kinds of new and upcoming artists. The festival details specifically say to BYO your own couch. It’s pretty cool!

Best travel music track?

Would have to be Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac. Stevie Nicks takes me somewhere else and allows be to dream and completely relaxes me when I’m traveling.
